In preparing a lecture on Simple Linear Regression (SLR), I had the opportunity to learn a bit about the history behind its development, and the characters involved. The history of statistics is full of great stories and interesting people, and SLR is no exception! I found the Stanton, 2001 article to be a particularly good read!
